​​Anthony M. Rodriguez is a highly skilled Woodwind doubler currently freelancing in New York and running SpongeStudios.

Originally from Brooklyn, NY Anthony's musical journey began at the age of 16 as a classical saxophonist, performing with the ISO Symphonic Band and ISO Symphonic Symphony at venues like Carnegie Hall and Symphony Space. He also quickly gained international experience as the lead alto in Xaverian High School's Senior Jazz Band, representing his school at the Cherry Blossom Festival in Kyoto, Japan.

Driven to further his musical career, in 2009 Anthony became a participant at French Woods Festival, eventually assuming the role of Oboe/Woodwind staff member in 2010. During his time there, he showcased his talents in Concert Band, French Woods Symphony, and participated in up to 12 musicals each summer.

After graduating from Xaverian Anthony decided to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance degree at Brooklyn College, studying under esteemed mentors such as Bernard Goldberg (Flute), Edino Biaggi (Oboe), and Paul Cohen (Saxophone).

In 2012, Anthony received an invitation to join the "Phantom of the Opera" International Tour during their Jakarta, Indonesia run. Following this successful endeavor, he joined Northern Stage in White River Junction, Vermont for their main stage musicals in the 2012-2013 season. 

In 2013 he relocated to Chicago, Illinois, where he performed in various regional theaters, including Music Theater Works, Metropolis, Porchlight, Drury Lane, and Broadway In Chicago. During his time in Chicago, he held the position of Musicians Union TMA Secretary/Treasurer and served as the woodwind coach for the CYSO.

In 2019, Anthony received and accepted an offer to embark on the 1st National tour of "The SpongeBob Musical". 

COVID shut down all theater in 2020 undeterred, he adapted by establishing SpongeStudios and The Quarentet with Trombonist Joe Pascarello, allowing him to continue performing remotely and work on his work on his recording skills. 

When theaters reopened, Anthony joined Mac-Haydn Theater for their 2021 season before joining the National Tour of "Hairspray" for the '21-'22 season. 

After a successful year he joined The Golden Plates “The Book of Mormon” Tour, showcasing his expertise in piccolo, flute, ethnic flutes, recorders, oboe, clarinet, and Alto/Tenor Saxophones.

In 2023 Anthony relocated to New York to continue working in theater and multiple musical projects
